What it does for your store

  • Measures each shopper's drop

It only writes if the product dropped 15% or more from the price that shopper saw, not your catalog's last price.

  • Only to interested shoppers

It writes to whoever viewed the product, added it to their cart or got it from your AI, while that interest is recent.

  • On each shopper's channel

On WhatsApp, email, SMS, push, Instagram or your webchat, whichever can reach them with the best results.

  • Urgency, only when it's real

If few units are left, it says so with your store's stock. If not, the new price is the only reason.

How each alert arrives

From the product your shopper views to the purchase, it's all in your Inbox.

Illustration: in the Inbox, Valentina views the Bruma Run; later it drops from $120 to $96, 20% below the price she saw, and Price-Drop Pouncer writes to her on WhatsApp with the photo, both prices and a button. Valentina asks about her size, Smart Recommender answers and she buys a pair.
  1. Views a product

Valentina looks at the Bruma Run in your store and leaves without buying.

  2. The price drops

It drops 20% from the price she saw. That's over 15%, so the Playbook writes to her.

  3. The AI writes to her

By day, on the channel that reaches her best, with both prices, a reason to choose it and a button to its page.

  4. Replies and buys

If she asks something, the Playbook that chats answers, like Smart Recommender. And the sale shows up in the report.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Price-Drop Pouncer?

It's the Playbook that writes to each shopper when a product they were interested in drops in price. The AI writes every alert with the old price, the new one and a reason to choose the product.

When does it send an alert?

When a product drops at least 15% from the price each shopper saw, not from your catalog's last price. So two shoppers who saw it at different prices each get, or don't get, their own alert.

Who does it write to?

Your identified shoppers who viewed the product in the last 7 days, added it to their cart in the last 14 or got it from Smart Recommender in the last 24 hours. Anonymous visits don't count, and it skips anyone who bought that product in the 15 days before the drop.

What does each alert say?

It names the product, shows the old and the new price, the percentage and a reason to choose it, with a button to its page. If few units are left, it says so. It adds no discounts or made-up urgency, and never tells the shopper how it knew they were interested.

Which channels does it write on?

WhatsApp, email, SMS, push, Instagram or your website's webchat. Each alert goes out on one channel, the one that can reach that shopper with the best results.

When is it sent?

It picks the moment for each shopper, always by day: in the morning, at midday or late in the afternoon, in your store's time zone. Right before sending it checks again: if the price changed again, the product sold out or the shopper already bought it, the alert doesn't go out.

How many alerts does a shopper get?

At most one from this Playbook a week, and no more than three a week counting the other Playbooks that write first, like AI Cart Saver.

What if the shopper replies?

The conversation continues in your Inbox. If you have a Playbook that chats turned on, like Smart Recommender or Instant Answers, it answers with the alert in view.

How do I know how much it sells?

The Playbook's report shows attributed revenue, the recovery rate, the average time to recovery, revenue by channel and by segment, and each alert's funnel.

Do I need the shopper's consent?

Yes. You need the right consent on each channel. WhatsApp messages use templates and follow its policies. Meta's fees are charged separately from your Hellotext plan.

Which plan includes it?

It's available from the Grow plan, which includes 25 eCommerce Playbooks.
